Replacing the fender is really simple and does not require anything special. Just a single 5mm allen socket on a ratchet. Swap out time less than ten minutes. No wheel removal necessary.

One thing I also looked at was the tires. Did some reading on the owners manual about tubeless tires on spoked rims, said the rims on the Thruxton required a tube type. Not sure what to make of the ones installed since they are tubeless. Both front and back are Pirelli tubeless with BEHR rims.

You can install a tube in a tubeless tire and it works fine.

Something I knew and do, but didn't know you should only use a tube intended to be used with tubeless tires.
I always thought a tube was a tube, but research shows that some say specifically they are compatible with tubeless tires.

These don’t, but I’m going to start slow anyway. Eventually replace them with a tires noted as compatible.

Rocky, you are spot on and I should have said that in my post.

There are times when you may not find a tube rated for a particular tubless tire. You can still use a tuber; it is just not as ideal. I have run both kinds in tubeless tires with not problems. I have never owned a bike made for tubless tires. All of my bike have had tubes. And I have run tubeless tires with tubes on them.

Sikatri, I have run tubes in tubless automobile and truck tires with absolutely no problems.
