My Ride
2016 Triumph Street Twin
Trying this post again. Not sure where my first post went, or if I even posted it correctly. Could be with my coffee cup I can’t find now…

I started my 2016 Street Twin, and warmed it up this morning.
Shut it off, and the Speedo/ dash lights stayed on. Tried to restart, and all my lights and fuel pump came on, but starter button didn’t work.
Acting like the kicking was down, or clutch lever not in.
Turned switch off and speedo/ dash lights remain on with key removed.
4000 miles without an issue until today. Battery is good and fully charged.
Any thoughts are welcome. Thank you!

Dirty ignition switch? That's where I'd start.

So I had to leave for a bit. I disconnected my battery, lights on speedo still on with key off, didn’t want to run the battery down. When I returned, I hooked the battery back up. Lights are off on speedo, bike started right up, and everything works as it should. I took it for a short ride, shutting it off and restarting it multiple times, with no problems.
Either it healed itself or disconnecting the battery rebooted the ‘puter.

That's a mystery, but if it's working well, good luck and be safe.
