As I was saying, I got my 2Bros slip the other day. Eventually got around to installing it a few minutes ago.

Please excuse the poor quality photo's. I just got a new phone, HTC S710 - but the camera bit of it isn't that great.

Here's a picture of the complete kit:

Here's the TORS (Triumph Off Road Silencers) that I had before:

This is all the 'old' kit that came off:

Will get a ride in tomorrow and give my impressions. The sound is great though - nice 'n deep, the new 2Bros is a much larger diameter pipe than the original so I would expect that anyways. It's awesome!!

The weights (in kilograms):

TORS = 7
Link pipe = 2
Total = 9

Standard triumph silencers = 7.5
Link pipe = 2
Total = 9.5

2Bros silencer = <1
Link pipe = <0.5
Total = approx 1.3 say.

I just measured these on the bathroom scales so it's not gonna be that accurate, but at least it's relative to one another.

So it's quite a weight saving, being that high up on the bike it's gotta flick alot easier now for sure.

Okay so I thought I would run through to Tradition Triumph in Edenvale to chat to the peeps this morning.

Well, first real corner I nearly dumped it. It feels THAT much lighter now. I can't believe the bike feels so different, and in a good way. I mean it's only about 8kg's - but hell it makes a change anna half.

Power wise, well .... - it feels more eager, but I wouldn't say it made that much difference to the pull though. I can remember a great tuner telling me back in the day when we were trying out different shaped exhaust ports: "You cannot feel a 5% increase, but you WILL feel a 5% decrease."
So yes, it's an improvement, how much though I wouldn't like to wager. I'm coming from a TORS setup, I never rode with the stock Triumph pipes.

The sound. OMG the sound! It's properly suited to a hooligan for sure. Idle and low rpm it's pretty much a normal bike, if perhaps a little deeper. Hit 5000 rpm and you know it's heard all around you, 7000rpm and it's growling like a pissed off hungry lion when his missus ain't giving him any. Fantastic.
The sound of a Triumph triple motor fighting the laws of physics is music to my ears. I can't get enough of it.

Very well pleased with my purchase! :y80:

I asked my Triumph dealership about this, and seeing as I was already running a TORs tune, it would still be correct.

I have also read this on some speed triple forums too.

Some guys have found a little bit of a gain by modifying a TORs map with a Tuneboy.

I would guess that remapping would give you a slight gain. It would make the engine more efficient.
