Daytona 955i 2003
I bought this bike as a non runner from a friend. It was driven into a garage and left for nearly two years, after which it refused to start. There are no fault codes on the diagnostics, it has a good spark and it runs briefly when I drop a little fuel into the inlet ports. The fuel pump works and the injectors pulse fuel when I put power direct to them. All the wiring between injectors and ECM is sound. I have removed and bypassed the alarm, which seemed to be faulty. The side stand and neutral sensors work fine.
The only possible faults I found on the diagnostics were that is doesn't seem possible to reset the throttle position sensor (the reset TPS option is greyed out) and the TPS icon on the dashboard only goes up to about 60% when I fully open the throttle.
Any ideas out there? What would cause everything to work apart from the instruction to fire the injectors? Is it going to be the ECM? Thanks Andrew

bloody hell,I wish I could help you buddy, but am challenged with that. apart from fresh fuel, maybe check that something hasn't made a nest up the exhaust, or in the airbox, blocking air flow.
I am stumped (but that doesnt take much:))
good luck, and let us know how you get on

Fresh fuel was my first step very niave step! If only.... The air box is all clear.

I've got a similar problem.
I bought a 955i which had been left untouched with a flat/bust battery.
Starts after a lot of attempts, but won't run over tick over.
Me wondering , if ecu has to go through a starting sequence to reset the injector setup.
But don't have a manual to find out
BMW's have to do this, its not a switch on and wait system.
Someone must know ?

Still hoping someone must know.
Is there a electronic method necessary to synchronize the fuel injection , or is it just , put the battery in and it does it its self ?
