Daytona 955i ss 2004
Hiya,
Any one any idea,
First time ever now I am getting older I want my bike to be a bit quieter,
I have a 54 plate (2004) Daytona 955i ss, the can on her has been changed before I bought it, when checking a few weeks ago I noticed there are NO bafflesin the end at all, in fact there is no baffle retaining screw hole so I would say it never has had them in that pipe.
It's so loud I cannot hear the Bluetooth in my helmet above 20mph, and no that's not an excuse to miss the missus calling lol.
I cannot hear music either, in fact more than half hour and I get a headache unless I pull the throttle harder and leave the sound further behind.
Bought a angled after market baffle about six inch long, after making sure I ordered the correct collar size, it fits perfect, all ready to drill a self tapping hole to secure it, but worried regards will I cause damage to the engine as it will up the back pressure etc,
Gave it a quick start up, and it sounded lovely,
But turned it off quick so as not to do damage, anyone any idea what if anything else I will need to do or get done, to make it all safe
Cheers Mark
