Has anyone added extra LED either strip or other small LED light tapped in to the brake/run light to light up the back more? Did that make sense? The Bobber only has the one brake/run light, so I want the brake/run to be brighter, which is why I am wanting to add an LED strip lights or something by tapping into the bike's brake/run wires. If some of you have done it, first, would I need a fuse if I'm just tapping to the run/brake wires? Also, what color is the brake and the run wire? My thoughts were to do it this way, so feel free to correct me:

LED strip that I have has a wire for the brake light, wire for the running light, and two other wires for left & right turn signal (which I am not going to use).
So, I would tap the brake light wire to the bike's Yellow wire, which in my service manual says it's the brake/tail light. Question for me is, if i have two separate wires on the led strip for run and for brake, do i just tap both those wires into the bike's yellow wire? Obviously ground wire goes to ground.

Hope I made sense as I am doing two things at once, lol!

Thanks!

Tayamaj,

I just installed a Denali B6 License plate running/brake light on my 2018 Bonneville T100. I would suspect that the wiring codes are the same on the Bobber:
The yellow wire is the running light
The green/purple wire is the brake light
The black is ground

I did not use the plug with pigtails, but installed the Denali Posi-Taps (3) under the taillight to reduce clutter. I simply cut off the plug, shortened the wire to eliminate excess, and attached the wires to the Posi-Tap. I did not add a fuse.

I'm amazed how bright the Denali LED lights are. The running lights are much brighter than the standard brake light, and the brake light is really impressive. Hopefully the unit will reduce the likelihood of being run into from behind!

Now, if I could just find a proper wiring diagram for the bike it would be wonderful. My Haynes manual does not have the wiring diagram.

Here's any easy option: signalMinder Turn Signal Self Canceler Triumph | NewBonneville

Shuts off blinker automatically plus all 4 turn signals double as running lights and a brake light option too. I plan on putting one on. You can never have too many lights.
