'08 Tiger 1050
Looks like no one's posted here in a while- since '08? I got great response yesterday in the Speed Triple section, so here's a shot of my '08 1050 Tiger.

Only have a thousand miles on it so far. This is such a great bike that I wonder why Triumph doesn't sell more of them. Can't wait to do some serious road trips this year. Once again Black is THE fitting color for such a cool ride. Just sayin'.

I think this is a phenomenal bike as well had a test ride on one and felt right at home on it straight off

Possibly because it's more of a specialised bike. Your right tho, everyone I've heard talk about them absolutely loves em.

Deff a great looking bike in black, but then, it's my favourite colour too.

It dosn't matter to much if you post in a faraway section uncle nort , as most of us navigate here by clicking on the " all unread topics " .
This way, you miss nothing unless you want to.

That is a fine looking bike. I would be tempted if it were more of a dual sport. I do tend get off of the paved roads. I find the Tiger is quite comfortable. Another drawback of the Tiger for a lot of folks is the seat height. The vertically challenged cannot flat foot it.

DaveB has a 955 Tiger, he's down with the flu at the moment. I know that he does a lot of off roading with his, mostly gravel roads - but I wouldn't like to tackle them on my bike.

It's quite a popular bike over here - and every owner I speak to absolutely loves 'em.

:y18: GReat lookin bike.
Congratulations!

LEt me know if you ever get an urge to ride the FL. Keys. I know all the places to go.....and to avoid! :ya2:

Tigers rule!

I can't say enogh good things about our Tiger. I bet Triumph would sell more of them if they offered it in a "standard height". It is too tall and I get a lot of helmet buffet. Those are my only two complaints. Both are easily fixed. I just haven't purchased the lowering links or touring screen yet.

I did add the luggage, heated grips and the luggage rack and tour pack from my Sprint. I also went up one tooth on the front sprocket to give it longer legs.

I may also be converted after today's little adventure.
A good mate of mine who has ...

2009 Anniversary Bonneville T100 (in lounge room 0 miles)
2008 Bonneville T100
2006 Rocket 111
(plus a nice collection of classics mostly Triumph)

... decided he had to have a new 09 Tiger. We rode to the dealer two up on his Rocket 111 to pick up the new Tiger. He asked which bike I wanted to ride home, it took me almost half a second to say the Tiger :ya2:

I loved it, when it's run in I will take it for a real fang, can't wait.

Photo is my mate foolishly thinking he was about to ride away on his new bike, that's his red Rocket 111 behind him, the pannier bags for the Tiger arrive on Wednesday.

Very nice! :y115: I like the Tiger and I am tall enough for it.

Nice pic and a lovely bike. TUP

Wow! Has it really been so long since I posted here? I really like this forum and should slide by more often.

Here's a few farkles I've recently added to the Tiger.

An Arrow road can. About as quiet as stock, which I like, but a little lighter.

New Goldilocks chain and sprockets.

14,000 Ft. and she ran perfect.

Damn looking good :y2:

It has been a long time; good to see you back. Your Tiger looks mighty good.

I have an Arrow can on my 800XC and I like it. It sounds like a motorcycle without being obnoxious. Your farkles look great. TUP

It sure is looking great, well done on those mods

Hemibee-

It was Rocky Mountain National Park- Colorado. Did a lot of riding out there and in New Mexico. The Tiger is a great road trip platform. Over 3000 flawless miles round-trip.

Pretty soon I'll have to share some photos of the whole ride with your kind permission.

The rest of you guys-

Thanks for the replies, I never seem to get done throwing money at it. The next project is a front fork re-do.

Please do. TUP

I figured you were around that area but wasn't sure. Thanks for the reply.
