Trying to remove gas tank on 77 t120, center mounting bolt spins with nut. Anyone had this problem if so any tips in getting tank off? Nut is 2 inches down in a 1" diameter void in tank. Can't think of a way to cut or split nut off!!

Ooh, that's a bugger.

I was once able to carefully stick a screwdriver under the tank and into the groove that holds the squared head, to help hold the bolt from spinning; IT WAS NOT EASY!!!

First, put a drop or two of WD40 or other penetrating oil on the top threads so it will release as much as possible.
