How dow I determine what size chain is on my Thunderbird 900 so I can get the correct and slightly bigger front sprocket?
Cheers,
Mal the Kiwi.

I would think there would be enough slack in the original chian if the adjusters are slackened off fully .

I agree, but by how many teeth are we talking about?
If you're only changing by one tooth the chain should fit. It worked for me.

I added two teeth on my 03 T100 and the original chain worked well.

Just how much difference will adding one tooth to the front sprocket, I can get an 18 tooth for $40 AUD.
Cheers,
Mal.

I have no idea of the difference. I simply installed the sprocket and adjusted the chain and rode.

I have looked at my bike and the cover looks to includes the hydraulic clutch assembly, what is involved in removing the cover to fit replacement sprocket? Anyone know of a video detailing the job.
Cheers, Mal the Kiwi.
