Here’s a few pictures of the old plates. Since this is my first motorcycle clutch job, don’t know how to really judge. I can always measure them. The steel plates show some patchy wear spots and the friction discs look smooth. Not sure how smooth or rough they should have been.

I started the motorcycle while the rear wheel was up. It wants to slightly spin. If you put your hand on the wheel it will stop. With the clutch lever pulled it likewise will stop. I’ve adjusted the lower adjustment and the free play at the handle bar lever. The free play is around two to three mm. My question is, is it normal for the rear wheel to spin a bit after a new clutch disk job or do I have to recheck and adjust until it stops?

As you can see, a light pressure will stop it. Is it just a matter of go ride and recheck later?

Quite normal, even with an older clutch. Once the fluids warm up it should stop. Will be more pronounced with the new discs until they wear a bit.

Excellent. I’ll go test it out tomorrow. Comment much appreciated!
