I am on the hunt for a comfortable solo seat. I know there is the Corbin , but They aren't for all asses...... I have had them. I am really looking for some actual "ass on" reports. Something like a "cafe" seat if you will. All the seats I seem to see have a very thin layer of foam.

Thanks !

I'm not sure but does Triumph make a gel seat?

If not, there are companies that could take your solo seat and add gel to it.

I know Carl had the sheepskin cover put on his and said it was one of the better mods he had done. I am sure when he sees this thread he will give a bit more info on it.

I have the Scrambler single seat and rack fitted, and I find it very comfy compared to the 'plank' that came with the bike.
I have done 400 miles in a day with no problem. It raises the seat height by about 1" over the standard seat.

I have the Thruxton gel seat with the seat cowl. It makes the long rides more comfortable.

I have allways had the same problem I cant get a seat comfy enough on my tiger ive bought a gel seat for it , its worse than the original :y4: .
but what im going to do is now I have 2 seats I will take to the sadlers and have remade to my own spec .

I find the sheepskin seat cover is wonderful for long trips. It is the best mod I made to my Bonnie. I bought a Sargent seat for my 800 Tiger and I am extremely well pleased with it. You might check with Sargent to see if they have a seat for your bike. They make the complete seat, pan and all.

It's not the most aesthetically pleasing look, but I use an AirHawk 2 for longer trips.

I have a Scrambler Solo / Rack seat. That is NOT a "all day" seat. It is actually on my Brothers Bonneville for safe keeping. He rides about 200 miles a year.....so it safe on his bike.

Might be a little early in the day for me to comment but I have about 1,200kms on "mellow yellow" and I find the Triumph single pretty comfortable. Not sure who builds this for them...

My Speedmaster's seat was so comfortable, that I rarely got off of it on road trips. Not even for rest-stops, unless I had to 'take care of business. Was that a Corbin ?

I’ve had my gel , fake sheep skin , pad for years and enjoyed it , especially the warm and cooling effects of the material . A couple of years ago I got to sit on my wife’s car seat at a hockey game . I was impressed . It was a normal CTC item so next time it was on sale for 60 or 70 % off I got one and cut it to fit the old seat pad covering . Wow , what a difference, it’s almost 2 inches thick and made of a very dense foam . The gel went in the garbage can .
Oh , I tried the 3D stuff too . Much softer than gel but didn’t do well for my application . It works pretty good in the Thruxton comfort seat but it’s original saddle was Rodeo model . 8 seconds is long enough .

Just got this week’s Canadian Tire flyer and it’s on sale again ! $ 49.99 for $19.99 , these guys are incredible, you can’t buy anything there at the regular price because it will be on sale at a huge discount in a couple of weeks . As a former marketing person I’m sickened at what this once Canadian tradition has become , they even sell party supplies now , what’s next a Bridal Boutique . I was there recently on Saturday Morning and the place was deserted . Went to Kent and got the perfect wheelbarrow plus lime at a good price and great service too .
Got 850 Sport out yesterday late . 12 C on the display , non hiways are the worst I’ve ever seen for sure , may have to order a new one with the 21 inch front .
