So my 2004 Thruxton has one exhaust stud broken in the cylinder head, should i worry or can i use the bike as usual? Also why do Thruxtons sound like they have an air leak? Watched several videos in Youtube and they all have the same chirping kind of noice. Just curious why it has that sound and what it is.

Thank you

I had that happen to a bike years ago and had to take the head off so the broken stud could be removed.
If the exhaust isn't leaking you can ride it that way, but my thinking is with only one stud holding the exhaust pipe there will probably be stress on it and over time may come loose or break.
I don't know anything about the Thruxton so can't comment on the sound.

It would probably be a good thing to replace that broken bolt, you know how it is, things always get worse.

Did you resolve the noise and get the stud replaced?
