I have recently bought a 2016 America. It has footboards with Toe & Heel gear change. I just cannot get on with the board, toe & heal set up.
It is the gear change that I find most annoying. I could just cut off the rear end of the gear change - and rely just on toe change.
This seems a real shame to ruin a perfectly good toe & heal change - and I would still be left with the foorboards - which I dont like.
Does anyone know if it is possible to fit normal footpegs and gear lever - in place of the boards etc?
If so, any ideas where I might pick up a second hand set in the UK?
Many Thanks.

Speedmaster parts may just swap over if you can find one to compare. Tt had the forward pegs and shifter.

The footboards just replace the footpegs. They were a factory option. I have mine set up with just the heel/toe and footpegs. To make it work I made a longer shift rod and removed the stop for the shifter on the left footpeg. Making the rod longer allowed me to adjust the heel pad down lower. ...J.D.
