Having sat on a T120 Bonneville I find the footrests a little too far forward and too low, being more used to the typical Japanese riding position. I also sat on a street twin 900 and found they were much better for me. The other issue is that the Bonnie's are in exactly the wrong position when I want to put my feet down. So obviously my question is, has anyone swapped the footrests on their T120 for the Street Twin/ Street Cup ones?

Not sure I follow, I have a T-120 and the footrests are not moveable (which for me is fine). Are you wanting shorter pegs? The only bike I have I changed out footrests was on my Bobber when I mounted forward controls. That required a different base plate to mount the brake reservoir and pump assembly. I'm pretty confident that would be necessary to move the rests on the T-120 too, as well as a change to shifter linkage.

I think atomsplitter nailed it. Look at a Triumph Thruxton it has the pegs set back and the shifter linkage is different. I haven’t compared my Thruxton to the other variants, but I think the ones on the Thruxton is the most set back.

Sorry, I didn't explain myself very well. I meant foot controls, including gear lever and brake pedal. The mounting/pivot point appears to be in the same place on both bikes. The difference is the shape of the footrest itself, where the T120 footrests have a curve from the pivot point, dropping it forward and down an inch or so, the street twin ones are straight.

It looks like the street twin is closest to the bonnie and the parts might work. Would require likely a replacement of the shifter and brake levers. They appear to be slightly different shape and length. I have no idea what the attachment point for peg itself is like, is it bolted to the frame or welded. If the assembly is bolted, it might be interchangeable.

Yes, noticed and figured out what you meant. See my last comment.

The brake pedal and shifter arm position can be moved up or down to suit the rider, if that's what you are getting at. To change the distance from the footrest to pedal (or shifter) would require changing them out.
