Just a heads up...

We are losing yet another classic bike source, Countryside Cycle is going out of business.

Countryside Cycle
2326 Amelia Circle - Tallahassee, FL 32304
Email: countrysidecycle@comcast.net
Telephone: (850) 575-6889
Jon Berglund, Owner

I hope he is retiring happily, and this is not a distress sale...

I will try to get up there next week. Thanks for the heads up.

I talked to Jon a few weeks ago. He told me he was going fishing. This was his way of telling me that he was going out of business. He also said that he was selling everything at a great price. He is a great guy. I really enjoyed talking with him over these past many years. I bought a lot of parts from him and got a lot of bike problems solved because of him. I also miss Keith Moore in CA who passed away a few years back. I bought most of my parts from these two guys when I decided to totally restore my '79 Bonneville T140. Keith also enjoyed schooling me on issues as well. My friend Robert "Ozzie" Oswald (who Kenny Dreer-Norton guy) called The Legend will be 90 years young April 25. I am going to make the 7+ hour drive to Parksburg, PA to celebrate it with him. I was up there to see him a couple of weeks ago (my step daughter lives 2 1/2 hrs. from him in the DC area) and he told me that one of his daughter-in-laws was going to give him a surprise birthday party on that date. One of his sons texted me a couple of days later to tell me that he was sorry that he was not able to come by his dad's the day I was there, but that his sister-in-law was going to give Ozzie a surprise birthday party and wanted me to come. I said that I would love to. I started to tell him that it was not going to be a surprise to his dad because somehow he found out about it. You cannot get anything over on these old guys.
