Help! What Goes In This Hole?

Hi,

Currently building a 1976 TR7RV from boxes. There's a threaded hole on the primary side (see picture) and I have no idea what is supposed to go there. Any help greatly appreciated.

Asked my brother in law , he sent me this photo. Bracket to hold cable from the stator? Hope this helps. His 79 Bonneville has the hole but it’s not threaded. (this photo isn’t his 79 Bonneville)

Thank you so much. Makes absolute sense. So difficult when you're working from a box of bits. Interestingly, No manuals or parts lists show anything. I shall make myself a cable clip!

On my '78 it holds a clip for the chain oiler.
