Greetings everyone, I'm so sorry that I've not been on for yonks, I've just not had the time. Managed to grab a few hours off an attend this ride this morning. I'm off to the North West 200 on Wednesday.
Anyway I hope that you are all OK, and keeping well.
Went to this today. The weather was great, as were the bikes and the fly past by the Dakota. Unfortunately the Lancaster wasn't well, so the BBMF sent the Dakota instead. I've taken a fair few pictures, so I hope it won't bore you too much.

As you can see this FJ1200 was in mint condition

Now I'm going to blow my own trumpet here, I recently bought a new camera with a lot of bells and whistles on, that I'm still finding out what they do. The pictures of the Dakota, are I think, some of the best pictures I've ever taken.
The 3rd photo you see, is a name P. Bond. His full name was Peter Bond. There's a very sad story behind this brave chap. His village managed to save enough money up to buy 2 Lancaster's for Bomber command. Peter was in the ATC, and as a reward he was chosen to go on an operational flight. Sadly it crashed killing all on board. He is the youngest name on the wall, he was just 14 years old. Also on the wall of names, there are no ranks given, as the said that when they went into the Lancaster, the were all equal.

Nice photos, was going to that myself, but instead led a Club run ( Boston Motorcycle Riders) to the Triumph factory at Hinkley for a factory tour, well worth a visit.

Thanks Rocky, I really did bite off more than I could chew with helping my mate out, but hey ho.
I'm going to try and make time and get back somehow to normal posting things now and again.

Garry, so good to see you back. You have been missed! Great pics. Love those pics of the C-47 Dakota, Those are great airplanes. Lots of fine looking bikes, too.
