Iowa Ride

Anyone in the Des Moines Metro area up for a ride to Baxter Cycle on Sat, 8-24-24 for their 43rd Annual Open House?

Frankly, I am not really a "group" rider, but I think it would be more fun taking the scenic route with a couple of other riders.

If weather is nice, Baxter Cycle in Marne is just over an hour west of Des Moines (80ish miles) via I80. But the ride on Old Hwy 6 and historic White Pole Road is a great local ride (like 2.5 hours). Almost no lights or stop signs, super light car traffic, old Iowa towns, barns and farmland, windmills, some elevations, and just a beautiful ride. Anyone interested please reply to this post or start a conversation with me.

Baxter Cycle is a GREAT 1960's throwback Iowa Motorcycle dealership, and Jeremy is solid gold. I've bought and traded many bikes there and always get a fair deal and great follow up service.

Baxter has probably over 100 vintage bikes at his shop, specializing in Vintage British Bikes. They will have Demo Rides all day.
