The 2018 Moto GP racing season is about to start at Phillip Island, Australia.
One of the many thrills I had when I visited Australia a couple of years ago was to see Phillip Island and the race track.
It was in early February when we were there and too early for the race, but I saw the track and watched some bikes doing laps on the track.
The gates were locked and we couldn't get in, but I still had a good vantage spot to watch the bikes go ripping by - and I do mean ripping! Incredible speeds!
This is a picture taken from the internet this morning.

This is a shot I took of a couple of bikes screaming into a turn.

That is the Superbike World Championship that starts in Australia, the Moto GP event in Australia is much later in the year.
I watched the SBK races on TV over the weekend.
Phillip Island is a great track for riders and spectators, but the weather can be trying with the winds coming up off the southern ocean, but on a good day there is no better track.

Thanks for the clarification TUP TUP Dumb mistake BGRIN
As a matter of fact, the day we were there it was very windy, but it was a very hot day so we appreciated the wind to help keep us cool.
