I came into a 09 speedmaster. Sat for years.. replaced jets, plugs, wires etc. Starts right up, but she's screaming. Won't regulate..any suggestions would be great.. it's my 1st triumph..old Harley guy..

So this is still a carburetor model?

This link, you can download or read it online. I used this instruction on my 2005 Thruxton carburetor tune and upgrading jets. If you have any mods, there’s a page that says what jets you should have from stock to different mods installed.

I was told it was carb, but it has twin fuel injectors. And any search says fuel injected.
The year model would be EFI from my understanding. I was confused by your reference to jets. I’m afraid I can’t comment much on the EFI version except to say clean the fuel system fully before starting further troubleshooting. Hopefully someone with EFI experience will chime in. May I ask who said it was a carb model? Usually it’s referred to a throttle body at least in cars. Did you clean the throttle body? Check the linkage and cabling that nothing is stuck?

Everything was cleaned immaculately. Even bought new injectors to be sure. The previous owners wife told me it was carb, but once I started breaking the throttle bottle down, I knew different. But thx for your help. Appreciate it!!!

We’ll keep us posted and perhaps you’ll get a few responses from members that know more about this model than I do.

Thank you! I'm HOPING!!!

Sounds like the throttle cable is stuck or the Throttle Position Sensor is toast.

TuneECU will show you both the voltage at the TPS, the percentage of throttle being applied -which should be 0% at idle- and a bunch of other info that’s pretty helpful to know. You can google “TuneECU” to get more detailed specifics.

When you twist the grip, can you see any movement of the cams the engine end of the cables are connected to?

Lastly, do you have a triumph Service Manual? If you plan to do any wrenching on this bike, I highly suggest your getting one.
