New Triumph Trophy

WOW nice lookin bike.

Yes I familiar. Have relatives in the Louisville area and my Grandfather owned a sign and printing business in Barbarton for many, many years.

Nice I will have to sit down when I am back at the PC and read this properly.

This is a good, thorough review and very positive. It looks like Triumph whas a real winner in the touring class.

the Triumph is agile, fast turning and the best handling touring bike you can buy.

The Trophy's rider protection from weather and slipstream are the new benchmark for touring bikes, it's that good.

Very usefully, the headlight angle is adjustable via the dash, important on a bike which will have a wide range of loads.

I had a quick blast on the 1200 adventure during our last RAT weekend. That engine is superb!

Silli- it is, but have you tried the Honda VFR1200? :y19:

The Triumph motor doesn't seem quite so impressive compared with the more powerful Honda IMO. The whole bike (the Honda) is really good (apart from the looks which I don't like very much).

I have never owned a Honda. I have ridden many; but the looks and feel just did not do it for me with the exception of dirt bikes. To me, Honda's have no soul.

I have always like a Honda and only had then as road bikes and Yamaha as offroad. If I did not have a Triumph it would be a Honda :y2:

I have owned several Yamaha's and I like them. For some reason, I never cared for Honda; but I have never been into sport bikes of any stripe.

I have both options (he says with a snug look on his face) :y2:
My T100 and the CB900F are worlds apart in character, and that's the way I want them to be. No point in having both if they are basically the same and give you the same riding experience.
But I love each one for what they are and they both thrill me in different ways.

This is the thing I take the bike I have at the time for what it is and what it gives back to me. Thinking back now the only time I have owned two bikes at the same time was when I had my Honda 750 K1 and then purchased the Honda CB900F. The rest of the times I would sell the one bike to get another

The only Jap bikes I have ever owned were Hondas and one Yamaha .....all dirt bikes.

I'm proud to say I've owned around 15 Triumphs over the years.

The only other street bikes were 2 Sportsters and one Heritage Classic

Ooops.....I almost forgot the stupid Ninja 750 XR that I bought thinking to race about 5 years ago. Easy to forget since it still has the 1080 miles on it from the day I bought it and parked it in the garage!

Jap bikes of all flavors here. A number of Hondas (most recently a 750 Nighthawk) MANY Suzukis, 4's twins, on road and off, sport and cruisers. I think my favorite was the somewhat "odd ball" and rare Suzuki VX800 was very cool (wish I still had it) The Suzuki Marauder 800 was the best of the cruisers. A BMW 650 "Funduro" 3 Triumphs (Speed Triple, Sprint, and Tiger---my favorite of the whole lot. And my one short stint with a Harley Sportster........not enough time to go into how negative THAT experience was, but I will say of all the 20 some bikes I have owned. I would take ANY one back tomorrow, except the Harley.

This thread has gone seriously :offtopic:.

I believe I am to blame- all because I mentioned the 'H' word! :y43:

Dave, in my younger years I did the same. I couldn't more than one bike. When I was able to have two bikes, one was a dirt bike and one was a road bike.

Adrian, I feel pretty much the same. I have no desire to still own the two HD's I had. I am glad they are gone.

DaveB, we never go off topic here at TT BGRIN

What WAS the original topic????????????:y2:
Oh yeah! The new Trophy.....
