In the process of cleaning aluminum parts I noticed some corrosion on chrome parts. So I researched and found water and aluminum foil is a way to get the burrs of of corrode spots. Seems to work.76C9ED2D-D063-4B4E-ABB7-448BCCB0B594.jpeg1BF92E40-62D9-405D-936A-C1735E962A9D.jpeg

I believe you can just make a saline solution. I used regular water from our tap. This doesn’t repair the damage, but makes it less noticeable and with care I hope to put off re-chroming this one piece. I’ll be keeping an eye on it.

We used to use tap water and the shiny side alum foil to polish up a plated pipe on our 2 stroke (cr125) go kart. I say "us, we, and ours" because my oldest grandson is my helper/ driver
I hope he picks up on the Triumph better than the last bike...
I had a Hodaka Dirt Squire behind some plywood panels... he tore it apart and stuff is scattered everywhere.
He painted our lawnmower with flames... later decided it needed sprint car bodywork... we threw it away. Lol....

Anyway, the alum foil and water works good on chrome
