UPDATE: Got the shock back in partially. The lower end is attached and torqued. Spent my grease gun on lubing the zircs on the pivot and spindle shafts. Need more grease. The remote preload adjuster is hanging from the left side. The top bolt isn't installed yet to allow some play to locate the adjuster up through the small tunnel between airbox and all the other debris in the way. Once that all is in and torqued it's just a matter of putting everything back on and adjusted. Easy.
FINAL REPORT: Got the bike back together today with Tom's assistance. Took it for a test ride and the brakes work well, bike handles well, good to go. Verified the torque spec for the eccentric pinch bolts at 35NM, basically snug. Obviously someone got over zealous with tightening that allen on the broken swingarm. Tom has a habit of taking things to the thread stripping stage so have to monitor what he's working on. This time I snugged the pinch bolts and then tested the eccentrics were secure, all good. Last thing to do is replace the brake light cover (ordered from eBay) and it's ready to go. The registration ran out because I sold it and then bought it back, so got it reinsured and the registration submitted to make it road legal again. The buyer still wants to buy it back but he is healing up from a work accident so I'll ride it around for awhile until he heals up and gives me the cash to buy it back.
