Ok so I’ve narrowed it down but still at a loss I’ve traced all wires and found that relay for light and starter has power too it and clicks when I turn on the key and the bike starts but still no headlights if I put a jumper to power wire and headlight wire behind relay lights work as Normal any advice

Replace the relay. The contacts for the light are burned out inside the relay. ...J.D.

Ok thank you I’ll try again I’ve already put two in

Then, you might start looking at the wire(s) for the problem-child leading to, and from the relay. It's possible the relays have been bad, but it also sounds like something upstream or downstream is playing havoc.

Didn't realize you had already changed the relay. I agree with Greyfell. It's got to be in the wiring then. Have you got a diagram ?.
If it works like the one on my America, the headlight is connected to the N/C (normally closed) contacts on the relay. When the starter is activated the relay switchs to activate the N/O contacts that the starter is supposed to be connected to. Could it be that these wires are reversed ? ...J.D.

It’s sounds like the same relay but no I don’t have a schematic if you know of alink I could download it would be greatly appreciated

Not sure what bike you are playing with, but I have Haynes manuals for all of mine. They are not that expensive, and the best feature in my opinion is the full color schematics. Check most of.your on line Triumph supply sites. They all seem to carry them. ...J.D.
