This one one of the better guides I have found to setting up suspension. It is available in pdf format for download.

How I set-up my motorbike
It is going to be very difficult to set your bike up in one day unless you wish to spend a lot of time in the saddle. Therefore I have split up this article into different days to make it easier to read and carry out.

Nice one indeed!!!

spot on carl ! this is something i take for granted after many years of off road riding ,its something you have to be able to do if you want to be competitive .
but for some people its a difficult subject !
this one youve found is very good and quite easy to follow , thanks for posting mate .

Thanks for the kudos, guys. I am not a supension expert by any means; but I do know how to set it up. I know there are a whole lot of street riders who do not understand how suspension works and don't know how to properly adjust it for their riding. I think this article explains suspension as well as anything I have ever read on the subject.

Ahhh..it becomes a little clearer..thanks Carl....

Links seem to be broken. Can it be fixed?

Do we have another thread I may have missed?

No, but if you do a web search for "motorcycle suspension setup" you'll find this thread ( :) ) and some other sites. You'll have to compare a couple/three sites to find which suits you best. Also check youtube.

I’ll look around. Nothing urgent, just wanting to familiarize myself with different aspects of adjusting and tuning my Triumph.
