Well was musing on the fact my stable has nothing but Triumph 1200's the other day to my son-in-law Tom (he rides a 1050 Speed Triple). Three twins and one four cylinder. It then dawned on me I'm missing a triple 1200 to complete the set, so I'm going to rectify that tomorrow (hopefully) as they have this unit in McKinney, TX available. We'll see how it goes when I get there. I considered a Trophy 1215 but I don't do long days in the seat anymore and that bike was built for cross country jaunts. I bought a Thruxton R in the Spring for casual riding and really like its light weight and handling so this should compliment that too. I've gotten to an age where if I don't get the toys I want I'll run out of time to play with them.

Bought it this morning, bring it home tomorrow. Updated my signature to suit....

Thanks Carl, looking forward to the maiden voyage this weekend.

Im actually thinking about a new 1200RS, to replace my BMW-R9T, presently keeps my tiger 900 GT pro company , or a Street Triple RS , decisions, decisions.

Go take them for a test ride. I can say without equivocation the RS 1200 is the beans for hooliganism. It'll rund circles around my Thruxton R and feels lighter too. Brakes are exemplary for when it all gets out of bounds with the fun grip.
