Hi All, my ST1050 rear master cylinder piston is stuck at the top of its stroke meaning there is no brake at all. I sucked out all the brake fluid from the top reservoir and squirted in WD40 but it hasn't worked. I think I'll need to strip off the master cylinder to see if I can dismantle the item. Anyone done this before?

No experience with motorcycle master cylinders. Last brake cylinder of any sort I took apart was on my MINI. It does sound like time to rebuild it.
I’d buy a rebuilt kit, like this:
There’s probably a few vendors to choose from. It shouldn’t be hard, get a shop manual if you don’t have one and go slow. Post some pics!
