2017 Street Triple 765
I've got a 2017 Street Triple 765 with about 10,000 miles on the clock. The clutch now rattles a fair bit when in neutral with the lever released. When you pull the lever in the rattle stops. Does anyone else have this issue? Does anyone know the cause and fix?

Many thanks, Mike

Hi Mike, I have a 2014 675 Triple and had the same issue. I bought the bike a year ago, and it already had this rattle (neutral, clutch out it rattles, clutch in it stops), after research most people seemed to think this was normal.
Last week I did the oil/filter service on it and the oil was pretty dark and nasty. On my first run out I noticed that the rattle has now stopped. Cant think this is coincidence - when did you last have a service? Paul

Hi Paul, I serviced the bike this month. The old oil looked good, the new oil didn't have any real effect. I agree with the general opinion that this is normal and associated with the slip/assist mechanism. I left the bike running when the engine was hot the other day and the rattle didn't sound too bad. I'll just live with it, gear changes are excellent which I think is more important. Mike
