I am posting here for a good buddy of mine who traded his beloved H-D Street Glide in for a 2014 Triumph Thunderbird 1700 Commander. This somewhat surprised me, but he found the Harley getting to heavy while the Triumph fit him perfectly and can's say enough for the machine.

He is looking for a factory Triumph ThunderBird 1700 windshield and I have checked all the placed I know and no cigar! Does anyone have a spare windshield, brackets and lock that they would like to have it go to a good home? Or does anyone know of an after market manufacture of windshields that would be suitable for the Thunderbird 1700 Commander?

They are a UK shop.

Every one of those links were for 2014 T-bird; no one differentiated between various specific models.

The Commander was a unique beast in the T'bird lineup in that it has two headlights side by side. If one was lucky to get the factory windscreen when in production then that would have been a good decision. Now that they stopped making the T'birds will be even harder to find. If you can locate a windscreen and mounts for the T'bird LT(which was the more popular model), then you can get it cut to match the twin round headlights of the Commander, or buy a blank windscreen from an aftermarket supplier like Memphis Shades and have it drilled and cut to fit the T'bird mounting hardware.

Excellent point! My friend has run into nothing but road blocks in his quest to find a wind syield! I suggested he call a contact at Triumph America in Atlanta GA which he did and didn’t get very far. Will keep this group abreast to what ever the out come is!

British Customs might have pieces laying around. Their customer service is lacking.
I think they made one for a 2012 Storm.
I figure if you want a windscreen, you should get a car.

British custom is a poor choice for anyone who knows that this isn't the only option for anything.

I bought a standard Thunderbird windshield so I had the right mounting holes and cut it to fit my preference. Cover both sides of the windshield with masking tape and Mark it with a sharpie. Use a NEW fine-tooth wood saw blade, a jig saw on low speed and just take your time so you don’t stress or melt the plastic. Sand the edge with 80, then 120, then 300 grit and you get a nice finish. Then pull off the tape. I even drilled vent holes w/o any issues. You could probably find a couple of videos on you tube.
