Hi Guys n Galz . . . . I bought a 2015 Tiger Sport in November and wondered if anyone has had any probs with the Red stitching / seams on the standard seat letting in water.

I had a bike with similar 'lairy' stitching / seams on the seat and they soaked up water like a sponge.

cheers

Wish I could help you on this but I haven't had any experience with this seat. I would hope they addressed this during design of the seat especially since it is on a motorcycle.

Thanks anyway Hemibee & Triumph David.

Yeah, you'd think any factory would ensure any special stitching or the like on a motorbike seat wouldn't have such a problem.

Unfortunately as I mentioned I've had a bike from another manufacturer that did have such a seat that turned out not to be waterproof.

I'll see if anyone else who rides a Tiger SPORT has done so in a downpour. I'm sure there must be plenty out there in Tiger SPORT land.

Otherwise, I'll either have to suck it & see when it next pours down here, or play it safe for touring & buy some type of wet weather cover.

Maybe you could waterproof with beeswax or some propriety product.
