Triumph Recalls 244 2013 Trophys

Triumph has recalled 244 of its Trophy sport-touring motorcycles due to incorrect tire-pressure label information.

Triumph says the affected motorcycles, which were manufactured from Sept. 5 through Nov. 29, 2012, were produced with a label bearing incorrect tire data. This label fails to conform to the labeling requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 120, "Tire Selection and Rims for Motor Vehicles Other Than Passenger Cars," and they fail to comply with the certification requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."

Triumph says owners relying on the information contained in the label may install incorrect replacement tires, increasing the risk of personal injury.

None of the affected motorcycles have been sold to consumers and they will be repaired prior to sale. Therefore, an owner notification letter will not be issued for this campaign. Owners may contact Triumph at 1-678-854-2010 for more information.

Well, at least they caught it before the bikes were sold. Good catch Triumph
Manufacturers certainly are cautious these days - with good reason of course!
Just for the heck of it I counted the warnings in the owner's manual of my T100. I forget the exact number now, but it was something like 90+

That was a good catch by Triumph. It does not inconvenience any customers.

Thats being on top of things. Good on Triumph. Tire Pressure Decals they say??? Do bikes have those???? lol. I always just look at the TIRE for pressure info.......but I am odd like that. Well that and the first thing I do to a bike is REMOVE any of the annoying looking "nanny-state" decals anyway.

Yes.....It took me quite a bit of time and effort to remove all the idiotic stickers on my Trophy when I bought it. There were tire pressure, lubricant, speed, and even a warning about the fuel to use among others.

I remove decals from the gas tank after I warm them with a hair dryer, but usually leave the rest unless I find them annoying or unsightly.
Our local dealers like to put one of their company decals on the bikes and they come off in a hurry.
