Had a little “episode” the other day. Left side fuel line disconnecteed from the tank and, before I knew it, I’d dumped about 18 ltrs of premium unleaded on my rear tyre. Which explains why Roy was dancing like a drunken sailor on the wet road (it had been drizzling). The question is - has that damaged the tyre itself?

I don't believe so. Aren't your fuel hoses on your engine (car, truck & bike) similar material? Clean the tyres with whatever you use to clean up fuel.

You can also wait for a second opinion.

Don’t you just love logic? Makes perfect sense, Greyfell. Thanks for the clear thinking.

The drizzle you mention would have cleaned some of it off as well as you rode.

I agree. Clean the tire and don't worry about it. As Qship said, most of it would have flung off anyway.

Thanks guys. Eases the mind.
