My Bonneville T- 100 after diagnosis by tune ecu was running well (at least I thought so.)
Just to test it, I started riding around the block. After about 6 trips, it died. Would not restart. Engine Light is now on.
I am thinking that the ecu HAS FAILED.

any ADVICE?

I used ecutune. Erased error code. Now It has started twice, Light has not come back on.

It sounds good, revs good

Thanks For your reply,

I just ordered a replacement ECU as well. When looking at the schematic for this bike. The coil itself is very simple.
I do not think it would run at all with a bad coil.

It can run with a bad coil; but it will not run properly.
Glad it started for you. Keep us posted.

Carl, Thanks for paying attention! I appreciate any help I can get.

Last time, an off duty policeman pushed me home.

You are welcome Ken. I had an 03 T100 with a bad coil. it took me nearly a yer to to properly diagnose the problem and replace the coil.

You as well. I just ordered a NEW LUCAS coil (I know, I know)
It was the least expensive I could find. (Ebay)
If it works with the ECU I already have, I will return the one I ordered,
I knew I was in trouble when I could not clear the error code.

Thanks again,
KEN
