Where Is The Frame Number On The TR7RV 1978

Hello, Obviously I have looked around the headstock for the frame number, but I don't see it. As I am now disabled and can't spent too much time bending my ruined neck about the frame, can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Left side of the headstock, running down the left lower downtube.

Getting old isn't all that great, but it beats NOT getting old...

Thank you sir, I think there must be a buildup of paint, or maybe my eyeballs are in upside-down.

Well I took another look, scraped off some paint around the front engine mount frame lugs and still found nothing. A photo may help. Thank you all the same.

This is a 120R DU Triumph Bonneville frame which is either a 1970 back to 1966. Sorry to throw water on your flame!

As I mentioned in a previous reply, I believe the serial numbers are in the same place. I no longer keep my reference books out, and haven't owned an OIF for about 2 years, so maybe I'm wrong...

I entered "triumph t140 frame number location" into Google and images of several locations were returned.

How much of the bike's past history do you know? Another possibility is it has a replacement frame that was never numbered by the dealer?

It's on the left hand down tube at the head stock.

Thank you for a photograph with extra detail, like the other tubes and headstock. I had so much paint on my frame I could not see the slightest digit. I see it now thank you Sir, it is very kind of you to take the trouble to get a photo to me.
